Victim Services has initiated protocols and actions to address and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic following the recommendations of the Public Health Authorities. We are committed to the health and safety of our clients, staff and community. At this time, staff are working remotely continuing to provide support to clients through telephone as well as on-scene support from M-F, 9 am-5 pm at the request of our police partners. Crisis Response Program

Victim Services provides on-scene emotional and practical support to victims and witnesses of crime or trauma at the request of police during office hours: Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. We also provide telephone support after hours to victims and witnesses of crime or trauma at the request of police.

We Can Help

Victim Services provides emotional support, practical assistance and referrals to individuals who have been victimized as a result of crime or trauma.

Our highly trained staff provide information about available resources, case-specific information, police procedures, the court system as well as help with Crime Victim Assistance Program applications and Victim Impact Statements.

Our Court Support Program provides information about the court process and victims’ rights, in-person court orientations, court updates, and accompaniment to meetings with Crown Counsel and during court proceedings. We are committed to empowering victims in becoming confident and competent witnesses, and to educating people about their role, rights, and obligations within the criminal justice system.
