Testimonials
The effects of crime are often traumatic, impacting many areas of our life. Victims may experience shock, anger, isolation, disbelief, grief, confusion, fear and stress. All of these are natural responses to a traumatic event. Reactions and emotions can change as the days, weeks and months go by. These feelings may be compounded by having to deal with physical injuries and/or financial loss.
Although we cannot eliminate crime or prevent trauma, we offer the support, information and understanding needed to help through the healing process. Our services are free, our staff and volunteers are highly skilled, and we are ready to provide assistance in times of crisis.
“One never knows when tragedy can strike. When it does, one can only hope to find the resilience to get through it in one piece and be stronger as a result. It’s people like you, with your kindness and consideration, who are helping to ease the pain.”
